Go Skate Day June 21st 2008 - Complete Plans

On June 21st 2008, Go Skate Day is once again upon us! Skateboarders worldwide are going to be celebrating this great event by grabbing a skateboard and hitting the streets! This only happens once a year, and Snowboard Connection is proud to be a part of the celebration of all things skateboarding by throwing an event of epic proportions.

We have some fun planned for all skateboarders, young and old. We’ll be doing a Skate bomb from Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill to the Snocon Waterfront location at 1 pm. We’ll also be throwing down a huge Longboard push starting at Waterfront around designated course and ending back at waterfront shop starting at 1pm as well.

Skate Bomb - a go skate day tradition! Join the snocon team by bombing the streets from Cal Anderson Park to the waterfront. You can not miss this one, as we join the skateboarding community together for what will be an epic event.

Meet at 1pm @ Cal Anderson Park
1635 11th Ave (Capitol Hill)
Leave Cal Anderson at 1:30ish and skate to the Snocon Waterfront.

Longboard Push - longboard fans unite, and push through an obstacle course set up by the snocon crew. Can you push the hardest, and be the fastest? Then join us in this event that will feature all the longboard community from around the city. Ditch the car, and ride your longboard! Don’t worry, if you don’t have one yet, show up early and get yourself one of our many longboards in stock and on sale now.

Meet at 1pm @ Snowboard Connection Waterfront
604 Alaskan Way (Downtown)
Race/push starts at 1:30 and ends back at the shop.

BBQ - Another Snocon tradition! Get yourself free food and drink starting at 3PM! After bombing the hills, and after the longboard push, we have the hook up for you with some free food for everyone that comes through. Bring your whole crew, family, and friends and partner with us, in what will be a great time.

Skate Jam - Just like last year, this year we are going to set up the ramps, and bring out the speakers for a skate jam right out front of our waterfront store! So work on your tricks, and come join in the fun of skateboarding our waterfront location, right in the parking lot! This is sure to be a good time!
