Before skateboarding was sponsored by Red Bull, before Nike began to create sellouts in our communities and shops, before corporate greed started to poke its head into our industry, Big Brother magazine was the voice of reason for skateboarding and the culture that surrounded it. Shunning the traditional, Big Brother magazine was the over 18 skateboarding mag that was eventually purchased by Larry Flynt and subsequently canceled when it didn’t produce enough sales for the porn king.

Now you will get to go inside the story of the making of and the fall of Big Brother magazine. My first skateboard mag, and one of the best examples of culture and skateboarding that we had, and is no longer prominent.
